This page summarizes the data privacy rights you have under Philippine law when you interact with MB Digital Design, and explains how to exercise them. It works together with — and does not replace — our full Privacy Policy, which remains the governing legal document.

1. Where these rights come from

These rights are granted to you as a “data subject” under Section 16 of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, enforced by the National Privacy Commission (NPC). They apply to the personal data MB Digital Design processes as a Personal Information Controller, as described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Your rights

  • Right to be informed. You have the right to know whether your personal data is being processed, and to be informed of the purpose, extent, and manner of that processing before it happens, or as soon as reasonably practicable.
  • Right to access. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, along with information about its source, how it’s used, and who it’s shared with.
  • Right to object. You can object to the processing of your data, including for direct marketing, automated processing, or profiling, unless the processing is required by law.
  • Right to rectification. You can ask us to correct any inaccurate or outdated personal data we hold about you, and we will act on verified corrections without undue delay.
  • Right to erasure or blocking. You can ask us to suspend, withdraw, remove, or destroy your personal data from our system where it is incomplete, outdated, false, unlawfully obtained, used for unauthorized purposes, or no longer necessary for the purposes it was collected for.
  • Right to data portability. Where technically feasible, you can request an electronic copy of your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format, for transfer to another service.
  • Right to damages. You have the right to be compensated for damages you sustain due to inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, false, unlawfully obtained, or unauthorized use of your personal data.
  • Right to file a complaint. You can lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission if you believe your data privacy rights have been violated.

3. How to exercise your rights

  1. Contact our Data Protection Officer using the details in Section 5 below, and tell us which right you’d like to exercise.
  2. We verify your identity. To protect your data from being accessed by someone impersonating you, we may ask for information to confirm you are the account holder or data subject making the request.
  3. We respond. We aim to acknowledge every request promptly and resolve it within a reasonable period consistent with our obligations under the Data Privacy Act. If we need more time for a complex request, we will tell you why.
  4. It’s free. Exercising your rights costs nothing, except where the law allows a reasonable fee for manifestly repetitive or unfounded requests.

4. If you are a parent or guardian

If the data in question belongs to a minor under your care — for example, your child’s AralBuddy account — you may exercise these rights on their behalf. See our dedicated Children’s Privacy page for details specific to AralBuddy.
